The government will pass a bill in the next assembly session to extend the timings of the noise ban.

Also Cavelosim wants to host an EDM. But the Tourism minister Babu Agaokar though not averse to those festivals wants them to be drug free.

On Monday Tourism minister Babu Azgaokar met with top tourism officials including GTDC chairperson Nilesh Cabral, MLAs and coastal panchayats sarpanchas to deliberate on the way forward for tourism in the state.

The meeting discussed infrastructure in the tourism belt especially toilets and changing rooms.

Since Goa is a tourism centric state the noise ban after 11 in the night has affected night life in the coastal belt.

The government wants to modify that even as it is two minds on the granting of permissions for the Electronic music festivals in the state given the opposition within the cabinet itself.
