22 Nov 2016 04:40 PM

the demonetization act is like a double-edged sword: It has affected not only the tourism industry buts tourists as well.

Only a quick arrival of five hundred rupee notes could ameliorate the situation.

So far that has proved elusive, especially in goa.

Tourists who are regular visitors to goa wonder why they, who are the guests ,of the state should be made to suffer.

Calangute MLA Michael Lobo who himself is in tourism business has appealed to  Reserve Bank of india  to look into the matter and solve the  problem at the earliest.

A shack owner explained how he loses business for lack of lower denomination notes.

Dr. Oscar also highlighted few benefits of the demonetization however he has also criticized the policy over the hardships general public and small business establishments have to facein the state especially in tourism sector.
