Iran defeats Mexico to enter FIFA U17 quarters

Iran on Tuesday registered a 2-1 win against Mexico.



Iran made its way to enter into the quarter finals of the FIFA U17 World Cup 2017.

First half strikes by Mohammed Sharifi and Allahyar Sayyad helped Iran registered this 2-1 win.

The match was played at Fatorda Stadium on Tuesday evening.

The winners led by an odd goal in three during the lemon break as Mohammed Sharifi scored within the 7th minute of the match and Allahyar Sayyad score in the 11th minute.

In the second half Mexico tried a lot to equalize and Mexico’s Roberto Da La Rosa scored in the 37th minute of the play.

However, despite their best efforts the Mexican boys could not score any more goals. Iran will now face Spain in the quarter finals in Kochi on Sunday
