FC Pune City trounce Dempo Juniors

FC Pune City dominated from start to finish as they trounced Dempo Sports Club Juniors 4-0 and put themselves in pole position in a Group C clash of the 1st AWES Cup.
The match was played at Duler Football Stadium in Mapusa on Thursday evening.
FC Pune City led 3-0 at half-time with goals from SajidHossain, BuanthanglunSamte and Gani Nigam.
Substitute Omega completed the rout in the second session to ensure that the visitors made the best possible start to their campaign.
The three points and the big victory puts FC Pune City on top of the group table and they will now need only a draw against FC Bardez on September 11 to qualify as the top team for the semifinals.
FC Bardez will need a victory while Dempo Juniors have already exited the tournament with two losses in a row.
