Brazil knocks out Germany to enter semis

Brazil into the semi’s of the FIFA U17.



Three time champions Brazil rallied from a goal down as they struck twice in the space of six minutes in the second half blitz to beat Germany 2-1.

The quarter finals match between Germany and Brazil was played on Monday evening at Kolkata.

Brazil’s left-back Weverson blasted a left-footer that rocked the horizontal before neutralizing Jann E Fiete Arp’s 21st minute penalty.

When Paulinho right-footer streaked into Germany’s goal in the 77th minute of the match.


But the attacking momentum stayed with Brazil as they went on to score two in quick succession to eventually take the game.

They had scored a similar come-from-behind win in their first group game against Spain.

Brazil will now face England in the semi-finals on Wednesday at 05 in the evening.

It will be their eighth appearance in the last four of the U17 World Cup.
