Goa’s first initiative to prevent suicide from the bridge

The Borim Bridge is more known for wrong reasons such as being a suicide point. But now the things are likely to change.
The authorities have acted as per request of locals. Government has taken its first ever initiative for preventing suicides from bridges.
The Highway authorities have installed new netted barricades for preventing suicides on the bridge.
Locals say the place was getting a bad name because of the increasing rate of suicides on the bridge.
They have wholeheartedly welcomed this step by the authorities. More than 50 suicide cases were reported till date on this bridge.
