Contract, community farming essential to give a boost to agriculture: Vijai

He said this can help double the production and income of the farmers in Goa

Vijai was speaking at  a programme titled   Sankalp se siddhi of the  Krishi Vigyan Kendra of  south  Goa on Thursday.

Sankalp se siddhi aims at  doubling  the farmers income  by 2022.  The programe was largely attended by farmers,

besides the officials from the  agriculture department and Assistant  director general of  ICAR, New Delhi Prasad Kimothi. 

MP  Narendra Sawaikar,  who is also an agriculturist,  said that the Narendra Modi government is committed to give a boost to  farmers  

Assistant  Director General of ICAR  Prasad Kimothi  explained the need of  bringing  a revolution in agriculture sectors making best use of the  modern  equipments.
