The building cannot be demolished and rebuilt entirely as it is classified as heritage building.

The Margao MLA paid a visit to Hospicio Hospital on Saturday.

The hospital was in the news recently after rusted balcony railing collapsed on a woman injuring her.

The iron bars and beams in the slab at the Hospicio hospital building are corroded posing a serious risk to visitors. 

Digambar was critical of the government for not completing the district hospital even though the structure was ready in 2012.
