The traditional rituals of worshipping sea before the beginning of fishing activities were held in Panaji.

Fisheries Minister Vinod Palienkar was present along with other official of the department.

The traditional community thread ceremony was held at Kundai on account of Suta Punov.

Thousands of devotees participated in the rituals.

The festival of celebrating the relations and bonds, rakshabandhan was also celebrated all over on Monday. 

It marks the protective bond of love, care, faith between the siblings.
