Desecration of shrines across religions continues in Salcete

The incidents of desecration of religious shrines are continuing in Salcete. It is now across the religions. This time it is one Hindu shrine and two more Christian shrines in Madgao and Curtorim.

Aggrieved locals have demanded strict action against the culprits and more frequesnt police patrolling.

On Sunday, three crosses in St Jose de Areal, Chandor and Paroda were desecrated. On Tuesday, people found two more crosses desecrated.

At Ravondfond in Madgao, it was the statue of Saibin Mai and a cross and at RalloliTollem in Curtorim, a cross on the roadside.

At Kolkonde in Madgao, a Tullos outside the Krishna temple and Nandi was also found desecrated.This temple is right in the city of Madgao.
