Chovoth, uniqueness in its diversity

Chovoth festivities are unique. And creativity is quite the feature in these celebrations.
The Shetye family of Pethe - chawada in Korgao is one of these which a one of these unique Ganeshotsav celebrations.
Another new aspect has been started by the Bicholi
municipality. That is to try and curtail the garbage in the aftermath of the
immersions.
The Shetye family’s more than 2000 members spread worldwide come to their ancestral Korgao house for Chovoth.
The making
of the idol starts one month in advance in the house itself. Not only the
family members but friends and neighbours also take part in the festival.
