War begins between Babu & Rohan on corruption charges

Congress leader Babu Kavalekar has demanded a probe into the suspected connection of Revenue Minister Rohan Khaunte with Additional Collector Sabaji Shetye,

who has been arrested for taking bribe. Minister Rohan Khaunte on the other hand has demanded a CBI probe into Babu’s alleged scandals in the IDC.

Opposition leader Babu Kavalekar demands that the police should also investigate whether Revenue Minister Rohan Khaunte and Additional Collector Sabaji Shetye had any connection.

Shetye was caught red handed by Anti-Corruption branch on Tuesday while accepting a bribe of 25 thousand rupees. Babu wants the government to come clean on the bribery issue.

Minister Rohan Khaunte has countered Babu’s allegation by saying he is ready to face any probe. He has also made it clear that no corruption would be tolerated by this government.

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, on the other hand clearly stated that his government will not compromise on character and integrity of his officers.
