All the three ministers of Goa Forward and independent minister Rohan Khaunte got a major chunk as chief minister Manohar Parrikar allocated one portfolio each to his cabinet colleagues on Monday.

MGP leader Sudin Dhawalikar continues to be the PWD minister.

Goa Forward leader Vijai Sardesai lifted the most precious portfolio of Town and Country Planning while Siolim MLA Vinod Palienkar is given what former BJP MLA Dayanand Mandrekar was holding.

This is the way the portfolios are distributed.

While MGP leader Sudin Dhawalikar continues to be the PWD minister, Babu Azgaonkar has been allotted tourism portfolio.

Rohan Khaunte, who defeated the BJP with Congress support, turned out to be more fortunate among two independents. He got equally important portfolio of Revenue.

Comparatively, BJP-supported independent Govind Gaude is being made the Art and Culture Minister.

Like Sudin Dhawalikar, Francis D’Souza of the BJP will also continue as the Urban Development Minister. Pandurang Madkaikar, who shifted from Congress to the BJP, has also been given a powerful ministry of Power.

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar would retain all other portfolios, till he distributes more portfolios to his present colleague and fill two more vacancies. The important portfolios among these are Home, Finance, Personnel, General Administration, Vigilance and Transport.

A couple of the newly appointed ministers  spoke to Goa 365 on their plans for the forseable future
