Coal pollution is becoming a political issue in Vasco. The Nationalist Congress Party took out a protest march in Vasco on Tuesday, led by Vasco aspirant Jose Philip D’Souza.

But BJP’s Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida has accused that D’Souza is roaming in a car that is gifted by the coal transporters.

The Vasco municipal council has also taken an unanimous resolution to come on the roads if coal transportation through the Vasco city is not stopped.

Ahead of this, Vasco unit of NCP had a protest march, led by NCP state president Jose Philip D’Souza.

The NCP delegation also handed over a memorandum in this regard to Vasco chief officer Dipali Naik.

BJP MLA Carlos Almeida has alleged that the car owned by Jose Philip D’Souza is a gift by coal transporters and Jose is only doing a political gimmick over this issue.

He said there was no need of any such rally.
