Trust vote on Thu; Sp election, Guv address, Budget from 22 to 24 March

The Assembly session starting on Thursday will last till next Friday.



 But the business will be transacted only for four days. It would begin with a floor test and would end with budget presentation, after the speaker and deputy speaker is elected.

For the trust vote, Panaji BJP MLA Siddharth Kunkolkar has been appointed the pro-tem speaker.

Goa Governor Mridula Sinha gave Siddharth the oath of secrecy in the presence of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday.

Parrikar then told the media that the session would be adjourned till 22nd March after seeking trust vote and administering oath to the newly elected MLAs.

The speaker and the deputy speaker would be elected on next Wednesday, Governor’s address on Thursday and the budget on Friday.

 Pro-tem Speaker Siddharth Kunkolienkar said he is confident that Parrikar government will win the confident vote.
