Tawadkar supporters threaten to resign, work against BJP

Supporters of minister Ramesh Tawadkar are up in arms against their own Bharatiya Janata Party




While his Kankon supports have threatened to resign, the tribal leaders have threatened to work against the party at least in 4 constituencies of South Goa if Tawadkar is not given ticket.

Thousands of Ramesh Tawadkar’s supporters gathered outside his house at Chavdi to show their solidarity. The BJP Mandal vice president threatened to resign from the party and work to defeat another candidate if Tawadkar is not given the party ticket.

On the other hand, the tribal leaders of South Goa also gathered in Madgao and threatened to work against the BJP candidates at least in four constituencies.

Minister Ramesh Tawadkar requested the party leadership not to delay the announcement.
