NCP’s Churchill Alemao and third independent also supported the BJP-led coalition government.
Congress could get only 16 votes as Vishwajeet Rane abstained from voting. The portfolios would be discussed at cabinet meeting on Friday.
The Assembly session started on Thursday with 39 MLAs taking oath. Pro-tem speak Siddharth Kunkolkar then took up the trust vote with MLAs standing up to show their support and opposition. No debate was allowed.
The 22 included 14 from the BJP, three each from the MGP and Goa Forward, three independents and Nationalist Congress Party’s sole MLA Churchill Alemao.
Chief minister Manohar Parrikar has said that the cabinet would decide the portfolios as well as who would be the speaker and deputy speaker on Friday.
He also said that issues on a special position for state would be the main issue in the common minimum programme that will be ready in a month.
