Two objections pertaining to candidature of BJP’s Laxmikant Parsekar and Michael Lobo were dismissed by the returning officer of Pedne and Bardez on Thursday

The objections were raised by Shridhar Mandrekar of MG Party and Joseph Siqueira of Congress.

The scrutiny of nomination forms filed by the candidates was held on Thursday. During this process, MGP candidate Shridhar Mandrekar had raised objections against candidature of Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar, claiming that he holds an office of profit which was later dismissed by the Returning Officer.

Similar objection was raised against Michael Lobo by Joseph Sequeira claiming that Lobo holds an office of profit as Chairperson of NGPDA.
