NSUI moots forum for open elections of students councils

National Students Union of India Goa unit is launching a forum titled United for Open Elections . The NSUI has alleged that the present system of electing students council is undemocratic.

They have also said that the present BJP-led state government is scared of open elections as they know they will  lose. 

 NSUI has alleged that during earlier elections, women representatives have been threatened, kidnapped and bribed.

The NSUI state president Ahraz Mulla has said they wanted to apprise the governor about the malpractices and therefore  tried to get an appointment with the governor in vain.
