Michael-Joseph war springs up again in Calangute

Former Calangute sarpanch Joseph Sequeira on Wednesday accused the local MLA Michael Lobo of shielding drug trade in his constituency, a charge denied by the MLA.



Michael on the other hand called for a concerted fight against drugs.

He also promised to give names of those who were involved in the flesh trade to the chief minister Manohar Parrikar.

Joseph a longtime sarpanch of Calangute who lost both the panchayat to Lobo backed panel and the assembly elections to Lobo also alleged that for the past five years while Lobo was the MLA why was no actions taken against drugs in the constituency.

Meanwhile, Chotu allies Gajendra Singh has applied for Police security. The file has been moved from Calangute police to higher authorities.

The police had caught 2 hired killers who had taken a contract on his life a couple of days back.

Michael said that he had names of those who were involved and were shielding those in the flesh trade in this belt.

He said that he would give it to the chief minister Manohar Parrikar once the bye elections were over.
