The Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party has taken a major U turn on the issue of Medium of Instruction.

The coalition partner has decided to go with the present policy of funding Church-run English medium primary schools.

Because, they got a beating in the Assembly election.

The Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch has now said that this betrayal was expected and termed MGP as dishonest to the cause.

MGP supremo and PWD minister Sudin Dhawalikar confirmed this when Goa365 met him soon after the Common Minimum Programme was out.

The coalition government has decided to continue the present MoI policy.

Before election, the MGP had broken its ties with the Bharatiya Janata Party because of MoI issue.

And they had forged a pre-poll alliance with RSS-led Goa Suraksha Manch.

But Dhawalikar now speaks a different language, neither Konkani nor Marathi but a language of surrender.

The Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch on the other hand has also revealed that these internal conflicts had begun much prior to the election when the MGP had decided to dismiss the point of MoI from their manifesto to attract the minorities.
