Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Luizinho Faleiro has indirectly challenged the Congress leaders to form an alternate government by resigning as the PCC President.

He has also blamed some senior party leaders for misguiding the high command, failing which the party would have won 21 seats in the Assembly election.

Faleiro’s letter written to Congress President Sonia Gandhi is very strong. He has requested her to relive him, so that Congress forms an alternate government.

He says couple of senior leaders had publicly said that Congress won’t win more than 2 seats in the Assembly election.

And these same leaders are now claiming that they can form an alternate government.

"Because they feel I am an hindrance in forming the government, I request you to relieve me."

Luizinho Faleiro has also stated in his letter that the Congress could win 21 seats if some senior leaders had not misjudge and misguided the high command.

He has neither named these leaders nor mentioned which four more constituencies Congress could have won.

The Congress House sources say that Shantaram Naik would be made the new PCC President. But this would be a temporary arrangement.

Because the party is going for the election process from block level to the national level AICC. And this would be completed within three months.
