New Goa Pradesh Congress Committee president Shantaram Naik made it very clear that his priority was not toppling the present BJP led government but building the party up.

The new president was congratulated by the outgoing president Luizinho Faleiro. Naik then outlined his priorities of building the party from the grassroots level.

He also stressed that government toppling was not his priority. New Mahila president Pratima Coutinho was also congratulated by the outgoing president.
