Goa Suraksha Manch announces 3 candidates for Assembly Elections

The new player on the Goan political horizon Goa Suraksha Manch announced their three candidates on Friday.



Party has also made its stand clear on various issues and policies with an 8 point manifesto.

 Goa Suraksha Manch declared its 3 candidates for the next assembly election on Friday.

Interestingly though all three are former BJP workers including former minister Dr. Suresh Amonkar in Saankhli, Prof. Atmaram V Gaonkar in Mayem and Paresh raikar in Sioli.


President of Goa Suraksha manch Anand Shirodkar said this announcement is made by consulting with their alliance partners,
however interestingly what remains to be seen is what will happen to Sudeep Tamhankar, who was declared by Shivsena as their candidate in Sioli.

Goa Suraksha Manch also announced its action plan on various policies. A major highlight of their action plan is the announcement on Medium of Instruction.

Goa Suraksha Manch has decided to scrap off the grants to the English medium primary schools from the academic year 2017-2018 if the party comes to power after the next assembly election.

Party on Friday has announced its emphasis of action on following issues:

MAKE A TEXT PLATE

1.       Withdrawing grants to English primary schools from 2017-18

2.       Will change the gambling act and ban casinos in Goa

3.       No need of Special Status to Goa

4.       Complete support to government’s policy on nationalization of rivers.

5.       Will ban the EDMs and rave parties in Goa

6.       Zero Tolerance to Corruption

7.       Sustainable Tourism
