Goa Cong President won’t be elected; ‘nominated’

It is clear that the Congress does not want to elect its party president in Goa in a democratic manner through elections.

The local leaders have unanimously urged party president Sonia Gandhi to nominate the new president. It would be announced in the next 15 days.

The speculations about who would contest for the post the PCC president of Goa are over.

Rather than going through the electoral battle, the newly elected PCC members, few MLAs and other members met on Monday at the Congress House and passed a resolution.

Later on, Returning officer and Congress MP Dhrunarayan told the media that the resolution was unanimous.
