Goa Against Coal threatens agitation, objects to Gadkari’s statement

Goa Against Coal has threatened to come on roads and even approach the Green Tribunal of coal transport of Vasco is not stopped immediately.



The NGO has also objected to the statements made by union minister Nitin Gadkari about minorities.

Gadkari had recently said that a microscopic minority community in Goa is acting as an obstacle against developmental projects in Goa.

While condemning his statement, the Convenor of the NGO Custodio D’Souza has also reiterated its demand to stop all the expansion plans of Mormugao port to import more coal. 

Another member Abhijeet Prabhudesai said he had made all plans to approach National Green Tribunal if GoaGovernment does not put an end to the coal issue.
