Goa 1st state to use VVPAT at all booths in election

Goa will be the first state in the country to use VVPAT machines on all the booths



Other four states will not have this privilege at all the polling stations. Goa’s election office has flexed its muscles to monitor free and fair election. Accordingly, guidelines have been issued.

Goa’s Chief Electoral Officer Kunal briefed the media on Wednesday morning, after the election commission announced Assembly poll in Goa on 4th of February. These are some of the important highlights of the election guidelines.

The election office has told all the government departments and other government establishments to remove photos of all the political functionaries from Govt websites. They have sought information regarding all the government works which have started and not yet started.

The Commercial Tax Dept has been told to verify sale of consumer items. No Govt advertisements would be allowed in any kind of media that would highlight achievements of the ruling party.
