Fastest ever results in Goa’s history planned, merely in 2 hours!

07 Mar 2017 08:55 PM

Unlike the past, the Assembly results would come very fast. If all goes well, first 20 constituencies by 9.30 in the morning,

And the rest 20 by 11 o’ clock. Because the election office has increased the counting halls from eight to 20.

But if there is a recount or, it could delay up to 1 or even 2 in the afternoon.

The counting centres at Bal Bhavan in Panaji and Multipurpose College at Ghogol in Madgao will have 10 counting halls each.

Earlier, there used to be only four to five counting halls in each district. And the counting tables in each hall would be 10 in the South and 12 to 14 in the North. It means the counting of each constituency could be finished in 3 to 5 rounds.

These are the constituencies of the South which will be declared in the first round.  Some of them are crucial.

And  this the first round of North Goa district. Including the constituencies of Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar, Deputy Chief Minister Francisco D’Souza and Opposition Leader Pratapsing Rane.
