An interesting election for Goa’s sole Rajya Sabha seat this time. It would be a battle between the presidents of two major political parties

BJP president Vinay Tendulkar and Congress president Shantaram Naik. Both of them filed their nominations on Tuesday.

Vinay Tendulkar was fully confident of  winning the seat. Because he was accompanied by all the coalition partners of the government.

Goa Forward minister Vijai Sardesai and his colleagues, MGP supremo and minister Sudin Dhawalikar, minister  Rohan Khaunte and other ministers and MLAs. He filed nominations before Legislative Secretary N Subhedar.

Goa’s Congress President Shantaram Naik was accompanied by Goa desk in-charge Dr A Chellakumar, opposition leader Babu Kavalekar and other MLAs. Shantaram is expecting support from the secular parties, but refuses to name them.
