CM suspects police-goonda nexus in Merces tourist attack

Looks like Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has taken the brutal attack on tourists in Merces very seriously.

He firmly believes that such incidents cannot take place without the nexus between the police and the goondas.

In fact as a home minister, he has asked for a complete report of the history sheeters in Goa.

The attack by four miscreants on a busload of tourists and attacking even women and children with swords and koityo has shaken up the peaceful state of Goa. Parrikar has warned that the police inspector of the area would be held responsible if such incidents repeat.

People of Merces are the most disturbed ones after this brutal attack on innocent tourists.

They are obviously scared to speak on the camera. But when Goa365 visited the village, these are the questions they have raised.

It needs to be seen whether CM Manohar Parrikar would probe into these pertinent questions.

MERSHEKARS ASK

  • Why did the police reach 45 minutes late?

  • Why the fourth accused is still not arrested?

  • Why police rushed the attackers to the hospital first?

  • What is the motive behind this brutal attack?

  • Why no inquiry is ordered into such serious case?
