The youth have come forward in the name of Revolutionalry Goans.. Their leader Manoj Parab expects ministers like Vijai Sardesai and Rohan Khaunte to support their cause. Because they had highlighted the proposed cutting of these coconut trees.

Tribal Welfare Minister Govind Gaude expressed ignorance over the issue when media asked him. But he also said we need to balance environment and building infrastructure like roads.

hief Minister Manohar Parrikar however upheld the idea of transplanting the coconut trees or planting new trees along the widened road.
