Churchill attends meet with Kovind, but doesn’t assure vote

The meeting was held at a resort in Bogmalo. Churchill Alemao also attended it, but he says his vote would be decided by the party.

The presidential election will be conducted on the 17^th of July and the counting of votes will be done on the 20^th of July.

Besides the local MLAs, some union ministers too were present. The presidential post is largely a ceremonial one but the president is the Supreme Commander of the armed forces.

No war or emergency can be declared without his signature.
