Campaign ends, restrictions begin till 5th Feb for Polling

The campaign of Assembly election came to an end on Thursday as Goa is going to elect a new Assembly on 4th of February



The election machinery has thus geared up to see that the election takes place in a peaceful manner.

The North and South Goa collectors have made it clear what can be done and what cannot be. 

North Goa collector NeelaMohanan, informed about the rules and regulations regarding the upcoming election.

Special services are arranged for the disable voters, senior citizens and first time voters. Strict and proper Security will be kept in mind, she added.

At the press conference by South Goa collector Swapnil Naik,  SouthGoa SPchandanchowdhury said during the campaign period police and the excise department have seized cash and alcohol all over the state. 


She also said that after elections all votes from south goa would be kept at the multipurpose college in a strong room with strong security till the counting day 11th march.
