BJP Students likely to get elected unopposed on GUSC this year

Looks like the Students’ wing of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party will be elected unopposed this year on the Goa University Students Council.

This is because no other Students Organisation has filled nominations for the elections for the top posts for the students’ body except the BJP’s students’ Cell. NSUI, the Students wing of Congress and others who were demanding open elections have boycotted the election process.

NSUI State President Ahraz Mulla informed that they took the step to protest against the inaction of the University on their demand which the organization was pursuing from last 3-4 months.

The Students’ organizations had submitted a memorandum on their demand again on last Thursday and requested for an appointment with the Vice Chancellor of Goa University on Monday.
