BJP backed corporators on Thursday denied the charges made Congress about various problems faced by the Mala bridge.

Led by former mayor Shubam Chodankar and flanked by Menino D’ Cruz and Rekha Kande the corporators called the allegations a publicity stunt by Girish Chodankar, the Congress candidate for the recently held panji assembly elections.

According to Shubam, there were no issues with the bridge and all the points brought up by Girish after his inspection of the bridge connecting Mala to Patto Plaza had already been taken into consideration by the agency doing the repair work on the bridge.

On Wednesday Girish had said that he had inspected the bridge after he had received calls from the people of the area about some problems that could be seen at the bridge.
