Balli panchayat issues notices to gadde, but not ‘Forest’ gaddo

Panchayat body has stated that these gaddas are on the Quepem Fatorpa road drain and are encroaching the space.

Gadda owners have however questioned why only a few are selectively targeted.

VO: Panchayat has issued notices to few gadda owners to remove their structures within 15 days.

Panchayat has also warned them that if they fail to remove these structures, they’ll have to face action by the demolition squad.

But interestingly though, just across these gaddas, there is this kiosk* of the forest department which also lies on a drain.

Locals say if notice is issued, it should be issued to all.
