Babush files police case, dismisses news of not supporting Parrikar

The state was abuzz as news that Babush Monserrate had asked his councillors not to support Manohar Parrikar in Panaji hit social media with a vengeance.



The message supposedly by a prominent local television channel also quoted Babush as saying that he was coerced into joining the Goa Forward Party, an alliance partner of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.  

The circulated message drew an immediate reaction from Goa Forward and saw Babush filing a case  and holding a press conference denouncing this news as fake and reiterating his commitment o the chief minister Manohar Parrikars campaign.  

Babush who was touted to be the Congress candidate to fight against Parrikar had since joined the GF party and voiced his support for the chief ministers poll campaign.
