'Almost all' tiatrist & dramatists won't come under GST: Parrikar

But Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar claims almost all of them are not covered under GST. Shivsena finds CM’s statement vague.

 Chief Minister Parrikar has replied to the representation made by Shivsena leader Rakhi Naik. In this letter, this is what he states:

So far no representation is received from any Tiatrist or drama producer as almost all of them are not covered under GST. 

Parrikar in the same letter also informs Rakhi Naik that GST comes under the domain of Government of India.

However, he says, if any representation is received from Tiatrist or Drama producer, he would take up the issue with the GST Council for an appropriate solution.

Rakhi Naik along with her vice president Michael Carrasco spoke to the media about this letter.

According to her interpretation, Parrikar’s letter is vague.

She has also alleged that Goa Forward minister Vijai Sardesai has failed to take up the issue with the chief minister.
