Advantage Congress, AAP not to contest in Panaji & Valpoi

The Aam Aadmi Party has decided to not contest in the by polls scheduled on 23rd of this month in Valpoi and Panaji.
Sources say that AAP has withdrawn from the fray to ensure that the anti-BJP votes are not split.
The Aam Aadmi Party was unsuccessful in winning even a single seat in the Assembly election held in March after contesting in 39 out of 40 constituencies.
Many names including those of party convener Elvis Gomes and even former candidate Valmiki Naik were in consideration for contesting in Panaji.
