Yet another jolt for Congress, Ashok Naik refuses to contest

Former mayor Ashok Naik took back his candidature as Congress candidate to fight against the chief minister Manohar Parrikar in Panjim giving the second shock in three days to the grand old party.

Citing his inability to fight against the powerful forces, Naik who has been known for his propriety in politics and once upon a time a staunch BJP man was all set to fight the elections on a Congress ticket till his u turn.

He said that his workers were not in favour of him joining the Congress. He also expressed his inability to get involved in any money distribution during elections.
