There are two U turns in the ruling BJP on the issue of Special Status.

. Goa’s BJP government has said it never demanded special status.

And Alina Saldanha said she would not resign as the minister.

In fact she claims that her party MP is still following up the issue with the centre.

Late Matanhy Saldanha’s wife Alina had announced that she would resign as the minister if Goa does not get special status.

Now her party has given up the demand. But she claims South Goa MP is still following up the issue. And she would fight till the end.

: Incidentally, probable candidate of Congress in Mormugao, Sankalp Amonkar opened office in Baina.

Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken addressed the meeting there.

He asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi what happened to his promise of granting special status to Goa.
