The season of monsoons is over. The new mining season is about to begin. The Truck owners from the mining areas are still not happy. They have their own demands. Some want subsidy. While some are asking for rise in trip rate.

In a recently held joint meeting with deputy collector of Quepem and truck owner’s association. Majority of the truck owners from Sanvordem had demanded hike in the trip rates of the ore transportation and concession on the GPS renewal fee from government.

Truck owner’s association member, Satyawan Gaonkar has requested truck owners to wait until their demands are met and later to render their trucks in ore transportation.

Story of Truck owners from Usgao is no different. They also are not in favour of transportation without a hike in per trip price. They have also demanded subsidy over diesel.
