They have threatened to stop trucks transporting coal and other material from Vasco through Qepe  if  their demand is not met within 8 days.

The truck owners met Qepe MLA Babu Kavlekar at his residence and apprised him of their problems.

They said they have to carry out  maintenance work of their trucks spending one lakh rupees per truck  per year but their truck are lying idle.

Qepe MLA Babu Kavlekar said that the initiative to make mines operational should come from mine owners.
