MGP MLA backs truckers' demand to raise transportation rate

MLA Deepak Pauskar on Monday backed the truckers demand to raise the
transporters transportation rate per ton per km to 14 rupees from the government
mandated rate of 12.50 rupees.
Truckers on Saturday had threatened to come out on the streets in case the government does not agree to their demand of Rs 14 per tonne per km. They have very categorically said that they are not willing to accept the 12.50 Rs per tone per km rate announced on Friday.
