Bicholim Truck Owners have threatened to stop the mining transport in town if the Sesa Goa Vedanta forcefully starts with the transport on its own without taking them into confidence.

These truck owners also have a dispute with the mining company regarding the trip fares.

The truck owners say they are not in agreement with the proposed rate decided by the Government in consultation with the mining companies.

The truck owners had gathered outside the company gate on Thursday evening to question the company authorities as they had seen movement of trucks inside the premises of mining companies.

They have threatened of protesting if the company starts the transport without fulfilling their demands.
