Idle mining trucks to get 8000 Rs per month

Mining Trucks that are idle will get 8000 rupees per month under a new scheme announced by the government.



This decision as well as the one to raise the per km rate to 12.50 rupees was taken at a meeting held at the secretariat between the chief minister Manohar Parrikar and stakeholders. 

The earlier rate was 10.50 rupees and the transporters were demanding 14 rupees.

The government has agreed to allow the installation of GPS tracking systems in trucks at the rate of 550 rupees per month.

The original condition was that the transporters had to pay 8000 rupees per unit.
