Who swindled the Ashtam fair money in Panaji Corporation?

The payment of Panaji’s Ashtam fair has become a matter of mystery. The vendors says that they have already paid the money. But the Corporation of the City of Panaji claims that they have not received any money.

Then who took the money? It seems Panaji Commissioner Dipak Desai is conducting an inquiry.

The stall owners say that they have held discussions with the CCP and had got the rates fixed at 30 rupees per sq mt and made the payment to the CCP.

But the chief officer is adamant that the council had fixed the rate at 60 rupees and no payment was done.

But if the stall owners are to be believed then payment has been made and they have the receipts to prove it.
