Vasco city to go Tobacco-free

The Mormugao Municipal Council on Monday unanimously resolved to make Vasco city Tobacco free.



Council also decided not to renew the license of the stalls and other vendors if they are found selling tobacco products.

The special council meeting of the Vasco civic body held on Monday Morning.  

Council also decided to increase fees for Municipality NOC to the applicants for water connection under health act NOC fees.

Council has also resolved to send a proposal before Art and culture department to nominate MMC Chairperson as member of Ravindra Bhawan Baina committee. 

Vice Chairperson Shashikant said that during the meeting council also resolved to write to the State tourism department seeking permission for setting up stalls at the Baina beach which is presently beautified by the GTDC.
