Two scooters land in pit dug to repair water pipeline

A pit was dug up on National Highway 17 in Navelim ostensibly to repair a water pipeline.

PWD has failed to warn motorists of the danger ahead.

There are no barricades so as to prevent mishaps. Only ticker tapes put up for namesake.

Two scooterists have already fallen in the pit.

They were lucky to come out alive. The pit is flooded with water.

The pit was dug up ostensibly to repair the ruptured water pipeline.

The work could not be carried out for want of a welding machine.

Now the pit is flooded with leaking water and the authorities need to pump out the water before carrying the welding job.
