Taxi drivers say will not fix speed governors to their vehicles

They said that they would not fix speed governors to their vehicles at any cost.

The taxi drivers later held a meeting at Campal on the same issue.

Taxis in the state have been under the scanner for some time now.

There have been lot of complaints about billing against them.

However, the taxi drivers unions have always denied that even as they have resisted installing fare meters to their taxis.

Taxi unions have also been agitating against the entry of  taxi companies such as Uber and Ola in the state.
